Due to the nature of the role and where the other team members are located, this person must be EST based, with a preference for Boston or Toronto.  Given the requirements of the job, we are not able to consider any applicants who currently reside in Colorado or ones who will be relocating there.  Lastly, we are not able to provide sponsorship for this role at this time.

The Role:

As a Senior or Lead Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for partnering with engineering teams to ship quality software and drive the creation, design, and adoption of test automation frameworks for our applications.  You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure they deliver high quality applications through best practices. Although this person will not have direct reports, we are looking for a seasoned QA leader who has experience mentoring and leading less experienced team members, as well as someone who can bridge the gap between the Engineering Manager and individual contributors.

What You’ll Do:

  • Help drive, design, and lead the creation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks
  • Identify best practices in testing tools
  • Review existing code and identify scenarios where we could or need to improve the quality of coverage
  • Analyze requirements to determine appropriate testing strategies for different applications through automation
  • Work with our Cloud Engineering team to configure automated system-wide tests running on a continual basis

About You:

Must Haves:

  • Experience writing significant unit tests and automation tests that have been used in a shipped product
  • Experience with building a software testing strategy using automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience building automated tests with testing frameworks such as Selenium, & Appium
  • Experience programming in Javascript, Python, Java or similar languages
  • Thorough understanding of unit, integration end to end testing and how to best utilize each approach
  • Extensive Web or Mobile automation testing experience and ability to leverage QA tools to implement test automation frameworks
  • Effective understanding of test driven development and the ability to reinforce best practices
  • Knowledge of continuous integration practices
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to operate independently without constant direction or supervision
  • Clear, concise and effective communicator 

Nice To Haves:

  • SQL or Database knowledge / experience
  • Experience using Device / Browser Farms such as Browserstack, Sauce Labs, etc
  • Experience using TestRail or other Test Case Management tools
  • Digital Health / healthcare experience
  • Experience working for a fast paced, high growth company
