The Role:

Linus Health is in hyper-growth mode and this position is critical to building out and executing on the next phase of the People function.   This HR professional excels in People strategy as well as daily tactical execution in a multitude of domains focused on HRIS & Technology, People Analytics, Compliance & Policy, Payroll & Benefits, 401(k), Employee Relations, Talent Reviews, Training and Development, and Strategic Planning.  This individual will bring expertise in the above areas and scale innovative practices with the changing needs of the business.

Please note that while we are remote at the moment, we will likely be transitioning back to a "hybrid model" in the near future.  Given the nature of this role, this person must be located in Greater Boston / MA or located where they can commute to the office 2-3 days a week.  Our office is located in the Seaport, very close to multiple public transportation options.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and maintain existing HRIS/Payroll operations including relationships with Paylocity for payroll, benefits integration with vendors, Vanguard 401(k) platform, time and attendance, and other core functions.  
  • Implement HRIS and payroll processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, and advise on how to better leverage our current system.  
  • Liaise with finance on state taxes, international payroll, etc.  
  • Process payroll bi-monthly. 
  • Headcount reporting.
  • Oversee benefits administration with HR Generalist.
  • Plan and execute an audit for job families – job title standardization, job descriptions, compensation banding, and maintenance control processes (including bonuses and equity).
  • Enhance Total Rewards toolkit by partnering with the business to include building and launching functional career paths/tracks and training and development function.  
  • Facilitate calibration sessions.
  • Continuous improvement process.
  • Ensure system optimization (eliminate manual elements).
  • Improve upon and own processes such as the semi-annual compensation process, budget planning and equity administration.
  • Evaluate and reinforce recognition programs.
  • Refine and maintain people analytics and reporting.
  • Prepare and synthesize data from internal and external sources that contain actionable insights; define key metrics, clean and audit data flow, identify trends, escalate risks/concerns, and develop recommendations. 
  • Analyze turnover trends and metrics while providing insights and recommendations. 
  • Enhance and fully leverage People Analytics to champion a data-driven environment. 
  • Provide insight and/or people related dashboards to department leaders and walk through implications on a regularly established cadence. 
  • Report on recruiting funnel, supply/demand, projections.  
  • Advise on key opportunities discovered by data and assist in driving data usage to a new level.
  • Stay abreast of and advise on external Recruiting Analytics trends and technologies in the HR analytics field.
  • Receive and manage confidential employee relations claims, including potential for outside counsel mitigation; coach and track Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Experience with company-wide goal setting and guidance to business leaders.
  • Partner with leaders to identify team building opportunities both departmentally and inter-departmentally.
  • Research compensation and benefits for specific countries as needed.
  • Process payroll for International entities (currently Canada and Ireland). 
  • Research best-in-class human capital metrics and how to utilize them to measure progress against goals and objectives, keeping current with industry best practices, developing new skills and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide Merger & Acquisition support for benefits, payroll and systems integration. 

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree required.  SPHR/MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in highly analytical functions related to People (domain expertise in a variety of functions noted in introduction).
  • Healthcare, Biotech or Digital Health experience is nice to have but not required.
  • Must have attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspire trust and loyalty given the amount of exposure to confidential information.
  • Ability to pivot and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Problem solving ability, organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills, interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Politically savvy and excellent communicators.
  • Results-driven; detail oriented, and demonstrated accountability.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Go-getter and results-driven attitude - a self-starter with a lot of fire and grit.
